About PhotoGRAF
PhotoGRAF is a distinctive small print photography gallery nestled in the vibrant hub of Glebe, Sydney. Founded by renowned advertising photographer North Sullivan, the gallery aims to invigorate the art landscape with its focus on accessibility, affordability, and intimate viewing experiences. Specializing in small format prints, PhotoGRAF transforms the conventional gallery experience by fostering personal connections between viewers and artwork.
Photograf.au is poised to redefine conventional gallery spaces by specializing in small-format prints, offering artists a distinctive platform to showcase their work.
We are excited to introduce Photograf.au and provide a stage for emerging and established photographers to exhibit their talent. Our gallery's emphasis on small format prints not only fosters a closer connection between the viewer and the artwork but also enhances accessibility to a broader audience.
WHY SMALL?
The space is small and so too is the artwork. The gallery specialises in collectible fine art small format prints (maximum size 21mm x 15mm).
Small format prints require the viewer to stand close, leading the viewer to examine the image in uncustomary detail. Thus fostering a deeper relationship between the viewer and the artwork.
Large artworks in a home are often part of the décor. Bigger art usually costs bigger money, while small format prints can be sold at an affordable price without compromising the value of the artist’s work.
In today’s homes, space is at a premium. Small format artwork is much easier to accommodate.
Like our collectors, the gallery is also limited for space. As a Small Format gallery, we can display as many as 100 works at one time.
